Site News: New Best Month
News We are happy to announce that the Best Month is now June 2009. At June 18, we almost set the Best Day too, the number of visitors that day was 1013, the current best day is May 18, 2008 with 1035. I hope we will break this record too very soon. As said, our site birthday is coming fast, so be here at July 13 and help us break this record, enjoy the one-day contents and have fun! Also don't forget to play a match with some people to keep this cool game up for many years!

Site News: Exam time ends soon / Nostalgie Day
News I'm sorry about not posting anything new about our projects yet. It's exam time both at the University and High School so it makes us busy, but don't worry, it's summertime very soon, so we will have too much extra time, so we can work alot with it.
---------------------
Also, the 5th birthday of the site is coming quickly. This is a great news for us that the site is now alive for 5 years. To celebrate, we will have a nostalgie day! At the day the site is up for 5 years, we will upload one of our old site logo that used in 2005, the last one before the name change from Populous Dawn of a Devil's age to Populous Online, also we will make available some of our old stuff such banners, buttons and even contents for all those who missed it. Be here at July 13 and help break the best day record, see our old logo and some of our old stuff, it will be up for one day only, then they may disappear forever!

Edit: The planned contents are (subject to change):
- The last Populous Dawn of a Devil's Age logo which will be visible on the top of every page (2005)
- Some news from the dead HTML site (2004-2005)
- Banners and buttons from the past (2004)
- Old JohnNet Flash Intro (2006)
- Demonstration video of Populous Downloader XP (5.1) (2006)
- Screenshots from previous Populous Downloader versions (2004-2007)
- Devil Worlds 1.0 - The Beginning of the successful mappack series - maps that only few people have played (2004)
- Heightmaps and screenshots from never released Devil Worlds maps (2004-2007)
- Devil Worlds 5: Numeric Worlds - the dropped mappack. Heightmaps and screenshots (2008)
And we are looking into the future: The first ever In-Game video from the Devil Worlds Single Player Challenge!
And remember! All of these will only be visible for one day only! Be here and have fun!

Site News: New best month
News I'm happy to announce that the new best month is May 2009. I think that the Single Player Challenge has given us this ammount of interest, so don't worry, I'm now developing the launcher. The thing I can tell you about it: It does NOT - even temporarily overwrite any parts of your Populous. You can still play online with the MatchMaker. Also it will feature a surprise that I don't tell you at the moment, but check back soon, as the maps will be sent to test soon!

Mappack and mod news: Map Progress Report
Maps Hi and sorry for not giving any news about the progress of the Devil Worlds projects. There is exam time that makes us busy, but the Devil Worlds is the second most priority for us. Since it is technically impossible to update multiplayer maps along with versions (pop simply ignore the .ver and other file differences), for compatibility reasons we have started to remake some of the maps of the Classic and Grass Worlds. The map previews keeps updating, the updated mappack pages will be disabled until the final test of the updated map. Meanwhile the 4th Single Player map is almost completed, we have published the preview of it, so check it out! There is a planned Hard Mod for each level that you can launch if you think the game is too easy (it is in the beginning, it will be not in the end), but this is just a plan yet so we might not implement this feature right in the first Devil Worlds Player, but in a later date. So keep watching both the Single Player Challenge and the Multiplayer Devil Worlds pages for the latest map updates posted regulary.

Single Player progress report
News I know you didn't hear much from the Single Player Challange a few days ago. We are still working on it but we have a lot of things to do. For example we must correct the Multiplayer maps. Three maps will remaked in the classic worlds (Small islands, Two on Four, King of the Hill). They will be more fair and restyled. Each sky of the classic terrain styles (which used in classic worlds and Block 0-1) will get a new sky. As you read previously that skies coming from Software render to D3D or from D3D to Software render. Althought I must prepare for the final exsam (it will start next week)and Dezsike is busy with the university too. Fortunetly after june we will have more time to work with our projects.

More maps are completed than revealed. We reveal only these maps that will not change anymore. After the scripts are finished and tested, i'll reveal the maps.
